Mad Mondays: Mad Droids Governance Token

As promised, today we will start with the “Mad Mondays” newsletter, in which we will publish a lot of information about what’s coming for Mad Droids.

Now, we are going to start talking about something critically important when creating and maintaining a P2E game: A Governance Token🔥🔥.
That is why we will talk about how this token will be used in the Mad Droids Universe.
If you’ve been in the blockchain technology world, you’ll know that the most important philosophy is decentralization. Thanks to blockchain technology, we can build a decentralized, transparent, and autonomous governance system. It is in its infancy and will evolve rapidly, but it is important to understand how it works, so that we prepare for the decentralized future. The governance token is the pinnacle of all blockchain-based tokens because it is the key to maintaining accountability in the midst of decentralization.
The Droid Token
In the world of Mad Droids, there will be one token, the Droid Token. However, there is the Mad Energy, MAD Energy, which stands for Malicious And Destructive, are the credits that can be earned through in-game participation and other initiatives that support the ecosystem. These credits are primarily emitted from the Mad Droids, once a player has successfully captured and reprogrammed them to commit good deeds. MAD credits can then be utilized in-game or through the Mad Droids platform to purchase, upgrade, and provide discounts on other features. MAD Energy are the in-game soft currency and not blockchain-backed assets or fungible tokens..
Today we’ll talk about the Droid Token, which is the governing and utility token within the Mad Droids ecosystem and serves as a governance token. Within the Mad Droids game and platform, the $DROID token will be needed to perform important operations such as: market purchases, minting and upgrading NFTs, and more. This token can be acquired through public exchanges, in-game activities, and other forms of community participation. The governance and utility token ($DROID) will be an ARC-20 token, which will be deployed on the Avalanche Network
Why a Governance Token?
Blockchain protocols are executed by code, which is the law in the decentralized world. Instructions and consequent behaviors are encoded in the protocols that are automatically executed once specific parameters are met.
This is different from centralized governance where a few individuals decide and execute changes that affect millions of people.
This is important to us as we want players to be an important part of the project. With the governance token players will have a say in the updates and decisions of the game.

Governance Portal
Mad Droids will use the Snapshot platform for the governance aspect, which provides a secure and decentralized means for projects and ecosystems to create an infrastructure for fair proposals and voting that happens on-chain. Snapshot also enables multi-chain integrations and different types of voting token support, both fungible and non-fungible. DROID token holders can simply connect to this portal, click on the proposals they wish to vote on and sign secure transactions through their MetaMask wallet and other supported wallets.
There will be some features that will combine the Mad Token and the Droid Token; however, we won’t talk about them yet, we will be expanding the information during this week!
